I decided to put my abandonment photos in two categories, rural and urban because when I am in these places photographing, I have very different feelings about the subjects and the surroundings. Rural is quiet, and lonely. Only the sound of the wind, or the rustle of leaves. But there are still dangers to be aware of as nature reclaims these places.
